Azam takes a stunner to dismiss Moeen Ali
Babar Azam is young and energetic, how much he has in him can be calculated from this catch. He gave Yasir Shah a wicket on a boundary ball. It was a shocker and even the commentators had to words to describe this fielding effort.
Yasir bowled a lazy length ball that had no spin and Moeen Ali hit the bat from the middle of his bat. the ball was travelling at the speed of light towards the deep mid-wickets fence but the Babar Azam came into its line.
The middle order batsman dived to his left and plucked the ball with his left hand. The camera gave it a slow motion and it was almost too much unreal. The little guy flew ling a kingfisher.
Azam was standing at mid-wicket but the ball was not near him. it was not only at a reasonable distance from him but also had the speed of a stinger.
Babar first went with his both hands but then stretched his leap and grabbed the ball with his left hand and the best part about this catch was that he was air born when all the action happened.
Yasir Shah couldn’t believe it he was as much shocked as Moeen Ali was. Azam on the other hand was celebrating the wicket and the whole Pakistan team was rushing towards the youngster.
Pakistan fielding today has been exceptional. They have taken some excellent catch and made a run out as well. They are all surely up to something here at Abu Dhabi in first ODI.
